The average cost of family mediation in the UK is £140 per person per hour according to the Family Mediation Council – January 2020

WNAM charge £110 per person per hour throughout your whole mediation process. Most people pay their share, but it is sometimes agreed that one person will pay the full fees.

Mediation is a far more cost-effective method to resolve your dispute than going to court. Solicitors quote upwards of £20,000 plus VAT for a case that goes to court for a full financial hearing. Most solicitors charge around £250 plus VAT per hour. Many clients are shocked to discover that short phone calls and even quick one-line emails appear as a cost on the final invoice.

At £110 per person per hour, our mediation is likely to be your most cost-effective option, at a time when your finances are likely to be put under extreme pressure.

Included in the cost of your mediation is the time taken for the mediator to prepare for your session, write up any notes from your meetings and obtain your financial disclosures.

WNAM do not charge extra for sending emails or letters, or for phone calls to book or rearrange meetings. All mediation sessions can also be held online. For some people the extra 'distance' of being on-line and the comfort of being in one's own home make it more convenient, less stressful and more productive.

Please note we do not offer Legally Aided mediation. Whilst all mediation is child-centred, Child Inclusive Mediation is currently not available.
